More tweaks on the S&S logo…

Here is a super-simple Wordpress blog I customized for Utah Styleliste magazine. I usually recommend using custom themes, but when the budget dictates something simple you can still make it look great.

This client, Sixpence & Sunshine designs the most adorable fashions for little girls. It was so great to work with such fresh, light colors. The sun emblem appears on each of the cute little dresses and shirts so it is an integral part of the logo.

Another logo I created. This one is for a stock exchange company.

I was a guest lecturer at Westminster College this week. I spoke to a group of Masters students on web design and the effective use of color in design. We explored the psychology of color and discussed each color’s influence on design. It was a great class I really enjoyed the students.

Nishtha Logo

I was asked to design a new logo for an amazing group called Overstock’s World Stock market.

I put a lot of symbolism into the logo… the group Nishtha has 3 generations of women working to make the world a better place. The white center of the logo represents the grandmother’s generation. The yellow ring represents the generation of mothers and the outer orange circle is the many girls in the young generation who are working so hard to improve their world. The movement in the logo represents these women breaking the bonds of oppressions which have tethered them for so long.

I am honored to have worked on this logo and I hope it draws attention to their products and helps further the mission.
